Browser Extension Privacy Policy

This policy covers the Padoc browser extension for Google Chrome, published by Insight Automate Ltd (trading as Padoc). It applies only to the extension; the Padoc platform itself is covered by our main Privacy Policy.
1. What the extension does
The extension lets a Padoc user fetch their own data from third-party systems they are already signed in to:
- BHA Racing Admin (www2.racingadmin.co.uk): entries, declarations and runners; the list of horses in training; and a horse's profile (training, ownership, qualifications, horse and veterinary details).
- Yardman (yardman.online): a snapshot of the Yardman page you are on (horse list, owners, vaccinations, treatments and sundries, diary), and a guided export of your yard's records — horses, owners, ownership and keep history, treatments and sundries, documents and reference lists, with optional extras (vaccinations, invoices, diary, workbook, staff lists) that you choose before it starts.
It is read-only. It only makes the same read requests your browser makes when you view those pages (page requests on Racing Admin; the pages' own list and item calls on Yardman), each checked against a fixed list of read-only endpoints. It never changes anything on either site.
2. What data it handles
- Data fetched from the third-party sites — the pages and responses described above. These can include personal data such as owner, trainer, jockey and staff names and contact details, and invoice details, because that is what those sites show you.
- Your consent record — the date and version of the consent you gave on the extension's first-run page.
- Fetch status — whether the last fetch succeeded, and any error message.
The extension does not read, store or transmit your cookies, passwords or session tokens. It uses the session your browser already has with the third-party site, in the same way the site's own pages do.
3. Where the data goes
Nowhere. Everything the extension fetches is stored only in the extension's local storage in your browser (chrome.storage.local) on your device. The extension does not send any data to Padoc, to Insight Automate Ltd, or to any other server. It contains no analytics, tracking or remote code.
If you choose Download JSON, Download everything or a Yardman export (JSON bundle or CSV files), a file is saved to your computer by your browser; what you then do with that file is under your control.

5. Your choices
- Consent — the extension does nothing until you agree on its first-run page. You can withdraw consent at any time from the same page (Withdraw), which also deletes everything it has stored.
- Clear — every fetched dataset has a Clear button that deletes it from local storage.
- Uninstall — removing the extension from Chrome deletes all of its local storage.
6. Retention
Data stays in your browser's local storage until you clear it, withdraw consent, or uninstall the extension. We never receive it, so we retain nothing.
7. Children
The extension is intended for professional use by racehorse trainers and their staff and is not directed at children under 18.
8. Changes to this policy
We will update this page if the extension starts reading from additional sites or handling data differently, and the extension will ask for your consent again when that happens.
